Responsible Lending
Mega Cash GO is committed to responsible lending.
Mega Cash GO adheres to responsible lending practices. As a responsible lender, we ensure we lend only to customers we know can comfortably afford our products.
Some of the checks that we do include:
- We ask questions about your income, expenses, employment and living situation to help us better understand your current financial situation and circumstances.
- We take steps to verify your financial situation. This includes reviewing your bank transaction history and other information disclosed during your application.
- We will ask you what the purpose of the loan is. This helps us recognise whether the product is right for your specific needs.
Some of the things Mega Cash GO will check once you’ve lodged your application as part of our responsible lending commitment:
- That you’re at least 18 years of age.
- That you receive a consistent income.
- That you have sufficient income to service your current and ongoing financial commitments including expenses and current debt repayments.
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- That you have supplied us with valid ID that belongs to you.
Transparency. We show you a full breakdown of all your fees and repayments before you confirm your loan. There are no hidden fees to worry about and you can check out our Fee statement here.
We hold an Australian credit licence. Our credit licence (no 552935) is issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and means that we must comply with the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth), including making sure we lend responsibly.
We support customers facing financial difficulty. Financial difficulty can arise from different life events such as change in income, illness, a relationship breakdown, reduction in your cash flow or emergency events. We encourage customers facing financial hardship to talk to us. We will treat every case individually. View our Hardship Policy here.
